  • Fundamentals of GeoSteering Workshop - Columbus, OH, March 4th, 2020

    The Ohio Geological Society is offering a Fundamentals of GeoSteering Workshop on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at the Hilton Easton from 10:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. This workshop is for entry-level and experiences geo-scientists, well operators, and those interested in or needing a refresher course in planning, drilling, and analysis of a modern horizontal borehole particularly in organic-rich shale.

     

    Mr. Stephen Clark, Senior Technical Analyst for ROGII, Inc will be the instructor. During the morning session, an overview of the concepts of geosteering will be presented. In the afternoon session, attendees will use a time-limited version of ROGIIs-Starsteer software to perform four exercises focused on horizontal-well drilling.

     

    The cost is only $99/person for professionals or $80/person for enrolled university/college students (limit of 6 student tickets). This includes refreshments in the afternoon and all materials related to the workshop. Lunch is not included. A certificate for CEUs (0.5) or PDHs (5.0) will be issued to those that mark the CEU/PDH checkbox found in the online-registration process.
